The Schleswig-Holstein Gourmet Festival is the culinary highlight at the Sandperle Restaurant. Since 2012 we are part of it and every year we can look forward to extraordinary guest chefs who conjure up a 5-course gala menu together with our kitchen crew. Guest chef this time *Sonja Frühsammer, Frühsammers Restaurant, Berlin-Wilmersdorf.
STAR CHEF SONJA FRÜHSAMMER
Sonja Frühsammer is a cook with heart and soul, her profession and her Icelandic horses make her happy. With a lot of inspiration and fun with high-quality products, she cooked the restaurant ‘Frühsammers’ in the noble Berlin Tennis Club Grunewald into the star league. Born in Australia, she came back to the Spree with her parents as a child. A-levels, university and then still following her heart, the 53-year-old decided on an apprenticeship as a chef. Her first job at Karl Wannemacher, the pioneer of Berlin’s top cuisine, left a lasting impression on her. She doesn’t run after fashions and effects, but follows her feeling, taste and heart. “With her, plates come out that I would never have thought of,” Peter Frühsammer says proudly of his wife.
